Jon Stewart to Host Q&A Session with Surviving Members of Nirvana

Comedy Central’s Jon Stewart has signed on to host a two-hour Q&A session with the surviving members of Nirvana, along with Nevermind producer Butch Vig. Titled SiriusXM’s Town Hall with Nirvana, the radio special will air on Saturday, Sept. 24, at 8 p.m. ET.

The session will be recorded in New York with a studio audience in attendance. Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Vig will discuss the making of the landmark Nevermind album, to commemorate the

20 th anniversary of the disc’s release. Audience members and SiriusXM subscribers will have an opportunity to ask the panelists questions.

In addition, as part of its Nevermind tribute, SiriusXM will launch the Nirvana-only channel, Nevermind Radio, on Sept 23. The limited-run channel will be discontinued four days later, on Sept. 28. Thus far, Nevermind has sold more than 10 million copies in the U.S.
